Community & Voluntary sector organisations often have a requirement under grant aid regulations to provide reports of all their participant/programme/activity outputs to substantiate their grants.

These indicators whether qualitative and quantitative can be difficult to collate, monitor and score, some groups may find this task laborious and arduous to complete. There does not seem to be any one agreed approach to this task and quite often too much discrepancy between the various funding bodies on the groups meeting their specific targets or requirements. It is also the case that these requirements change from year to year.

While there are several financial software packages in the market to help groups with their budgets, there is little such software for allowing groups to monitoring the 'non-financial' aspects of their work.
