2000

Cunamh identified the problem of collating its clients details and monitoring their activities in 2000. Back then we contracted the services of a local software developer (Alison Ballard, who is now employed with us) to begin developing a bespoke management database to meet the non-financial requirements set out by our funding bodies.

2004

In April 2004, we were invited by the Community Relations Council NI to demonstrate our database as a 'model of good practice' at their Victims and Survivors Conference . The response we received was very positive and community groups present welcomed this technology approach. This gave us the initiative to start a social enterprise and further develop the system for the sector.

2005

In 2005 Cúnamh established Cúnamh ICT as a new commercial initiative to further develop its management database into a potential product and promote Information Technology & Training throughout the sector. It was hoped it would also assist with the long term financial sustainability of Cúnamh. Later that year Cúnamh ICT won a tender from the Community Foundation for NI to develop and deliver monitoring & evaluation databases to 12 of their funded groups.....the era of eMonitoring began.

2006

eMonitoring aim was to streamline an organisations user and programme information to a single point and report their data back to CFNI in accordance Peace ESF requirements. Rather than design 12 bespoke database we took the needs of all the groups and rolled this into a single database. This resulted in a series of enhancements and options to the package that made it adaptable to almost any community setting. Soon the client base started growing that that led to other version of the system being developed.

2007

Cúnamh ICT was uncorporated as a limited company.
